About Us
Welcome to Running Hoosier Magazine. Running Hoosier Magazine was started because there was not a running/fitness or endurance magazine in the state of Indiana. We felt that not only was there a need for one, but a desire among the endurance athletes in the state and the surrounding area. We wanted to help others like us get information they could use to help them as endurance athletes.
We are a magazine for the everyday runner. We will have articles for and about the mid packers, and the back of the packers. At Running Hoosier, we consider all endurance athletes superstars. So, you never know, you may be featured in an upcoming issue. You may see your photo or a friends photo from race that you ran, you just never know.
Although titled, Running Hoosier, we are not a magazine just for runners, nor just for Hoosiers. Running Hoosier will have something of interest and of use to all endurance, multi-sport athletes as well as those who do live in Indiana. We have a team of writers with backgrounds in running, swimming, and cycling. We have writers who are tri-athletes and duo-athletes all from around the country.
We will cover nutrition and health, fitness, training, endurance, healthy living, cooking and other issues that we , the endurance athlete face in our sport.
We believe that fitness has many facets involved and will not shy from any of them, three that are vitally important are mental, physical and spiritual. We will try to bring you as much information to help you as possible in each of these three categories.
We at Running Hoosier hope you find the magazine an invaluable tool and resource for all your training needs. Best of all Running Hoosier is absolutely FREE. The only money we ask from our readers is when they subscribe to have it mailed to their home. The cost for a one year subscription is $10.00,that is just $1.67 per issue. This helps (it does not cover the entire amount of postage) us with the cost to mail it to them. We want all runners and endurance athletes to be able to have a copy of Running Hoosier, regardless of their financial state.

Distribution

We currently have a circulation of 5000 per issue. Running Hoosier is published bimonthly with our premier issue coming in November 2009
